Lamp on, complete
warm-up, and then
start scanner move-
ment.
Main Unit:
If APS : Standby
If not APS : Start transport of copy
paper.

IR Section: Adjust gain; Scanner returns to its
home position after shading data
sampling correction.

If APS : Standby
If not APS : Feed copy paper.

IR Section : Run prescan to detect original's size.
Main Unit:
If APS : Standby
If not APS: Stop copy paper at timing-roller
area (standby)

IR Section: • Scan (read) the image, and store
the image data into memory.
• Move to scanner reference posi-
tion, then stop.
Main Unit:
If APS : • Select copy paper based on origi-
nal's size. Begin copy paper feed.
Stop copy paper at synchronizing
roller area.
• Prepare memory output, then
begin printing.
• Stop when printing is completed.
If not APS : • Prepare memory output, then
begin printing.
• Stop when printing is completed.
