15. Pull back the tab [1] between the frame and right vertical support to release the
maintenance unit motor harness.
16. Disconnect the motor harness [2] (

Remove platen or ADF. (
Raise the scanner unit to full upright. (
Remove: (1) paper cassette, (2) paper output tray, (3) right cover, (4) left cover, (5)
scanner unit, (6) rear cover (
17. Disconnect the fan harness [1] (
18. Remove screws [2], [3] ( x2).
19. Remove the cooling fan.
