Verify that your rack meets the
minimum requirements for the
installation of the router.
NOTE:
There must be a
minimum of 45U of usable rack
space when installing the
MX2020 router into a 45U rack.
Plan rack or cabinet location,
including required space
clearances.
NOTE:
If you are installing the
MX2020 router into a network
cabinet, make sure that no
hardware, device, rack, or cabinet
component obstructs the 45U
rack space from access during
installation.
If a rack is used, secure rack to
floor and building structure.
Cables and Transceivers
Acquire cables and transceivers:
Determine the number of
cables needed based on your
planned configuration.
Review the maximum distance
allowed for each cable.
choose the length of cable
based on the distance
between the hardware
components being connected.
Plan the cable routing and
management.
