Programming Special Characters

MLX Display Telephones

When you program Personal Directory listings, Auto Dial buttons, or Personal
Speed Dial codes, you are storing a sequence of numbers to be dialed
automatically.
Some dialing sequences need special characters. For example, you would
press Hold to insert a pause in a dialing sequence after a dial-out code to allow
the system to seize an outside line before dialing the number. A pause can also
be used to separate a phone number from an extension number.
