9.1 Overview

This chapter shows you how to update the NXC's signature packages.

9.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter

• The Anti-virus screen

9.1.2 What you Need to Know

The following terms and concepts may help as you read this chapter.
• You need a valid service registration to update the anti-virus signatures and the
IDP/AppPatrol signatures.
• You do not need a service registration to update the system-protection
signatures.
• Schedule signature updates for a day and time when your network is least busy
to minimize disruption to your network.
• Your custom signature configurations are not over-written when you download
new signatures.
Note: The NXC does not have to reboot when you upload new signatures.
