Deck Removal
Deck: Service and Repairs
1. Park the machine on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Stop the
engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Shut the fuel off.
2. Remove the grass bagger assembly if attached.
3. Using an appropriate lifting device, raise the rear of the machine off the
ground.
4. Open and secure the rear cover.
5. Remove the 1/4–20 inch taptite screw securing the cover to the frame.

6. For Kawasaki engines, remove the 4 (1/4–20 inch) taptite screws securing
the front cover to the frame. For Kohler engines, remove the 3 (1/4–20 inch)
taptite screws and christmas tree clip securing the front cover to the frame.
