PARTS WHICH MUST NOT BE TOUCHED

(1) Red Painted Screws

Purpose of Application of Red Paint
Red painted screws show that the assembly or unit secured can only be adjusted or set at
the factory and shall not be readjusted, set, or removed in the field.
Note that when two or more screws are used on the part in question, only one representa-
tive screw may be marked with red paint.

(2) Variable Resistors on Board

Do not turn the variable resistors (potentiometers) on boards to which no adjusting instruc-
tions are given in "ADJUSTMENT."

(3) Other Screws

Although not marked with red paint, the following screws must not be loosened or read-
justed.
