Important Points
Wear protective goggles when turning on the UV Lamp without covers and when replacing the heads .
Static electricity can harm some electronic devices . To prevent static damage, discharge static electricity from your
body before you touch any of the electronic parts . You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface on the
chassis .
We also recommend that you take the following steps to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD):
z When unpacking a static-sensitive device from its shipping carton, do not remove the device from the antistatic
packing material until you are ready to install the part to the printer . Just before removing the antistatic
packaging, be sure to discharge static electricity from your body .
z When transporting a static-sensitive part, first place it in an antistatic container or package .
z Handle all static-sensitive parts in a static-safe area . If possible, use antistatic floor pads and workbench pads .
