Overview
This test measures the HP 70428A Option 002's (tunable source) AM noise
and spurs at 12.6 GHz.
Specification
Refer to the specification table for AM Noise of Option 002.
Equipment
HP 3048A Phase Noise Measurement System with Options 201, H26.
HP 8562A Spectrum Analyzer
HP 33330C Coaxial Detector
HP 3048A K21 AM Detector Filter
HP 8662/3A Synthesized Signal Generator
HP 70427A K02 Balun
Test Setup
Set up the HP 3048A according to the HP 3048A Installation Guide. The
following diagram shows the test setup as it will be in step 7 when the AM
Noise measurements are made.
