Step 1 - Start a new measurement

Step 2 - Access the

Step 3 - Select the spectrum analyzer connection
1. Press the

a. The downconverter's input signal is routed to the RF spectrum
analyzer after it passes through the input attenuator. It does not go to
the mixer or IF output.
2. Press the
VIEW IN | IF | -
a. A sample of the downconverter's IF output is routed to the RF
spectrum analyzer. The downconverter operates normally.
3. Press the
HP 11848A
a. The spectrum analyzer signal from the HP 11848A is routed to the
RF spectrum analyzer (if the HP 11848A's SPECTRUM
ANALYZER output is connected to the downconverter's rear-panel
SPECTRUM ANALYZER FROM HP 11848A connector). With
this selection the HP 3048A beatnote can be monitored.
Step 4 - Route the RF spectrum analyzer for measurement
1. Press the
