Install the connector savers for the appropriate module.
Proper care of connectors is essential to proper performance. See Microwave

HP 70427A
1. Connect item A (3.5 APC connector savers) to: Microwave LO,
Signal Input, and RF Analyzer Output.
2. Connect item B (type N to SMA adapter) to IF output.
3. Connect item C (50 ohm termination) to type N to SMA adapter.
