Removing the fork legs

Finishing work

Install the fork protector.
-
Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand.
Preparatory work
-
Remove the headlight mask with the headlight.
-
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand.
-
Remove the front wheel.
Main work

Remove screws and take off the clamp.
-
Remove the cable tie(s).
-
Remove screws @ with the washers and take off the brake
caliper.
-
Allow the brake caliper and brake line to hang loosely to the
side.
(FE EU/AU, FE 450/501 US)

Loosen screws (5). Take out the left fork leg.

Loosen screws Take out the right fork leg.
(FE 501 SUS)
Loosen screws (5). Take out the left fork leg.

Loosen screws Take out the right fork leg.
Main work
-
Position the fork legs.

✓ Bleeder screws are positioned toward the front.
