Description
This command configures an optional service name, up to 64 characters in length, which adds a name
identifier to a given service to then use that service name in configuration references as well as
display and use service names in show commands throughout the system. This helps the service
provider/administrator to identify and manage services within the 7750 SR, 7450 ESS and 7710 SR
platforms.
All services are required to assign a service ID to initially create a service. However, either the service
ID or the service name can be used o identify and reference a given service once it is initially created.

with an integer (0-9).
• Sets the DSCP bits in the IP packet.
• Maps to the FC. This value will be signaled from the CPM to the egress forwarding complex.
• Based on this signaled FC the egress forwarding complex QoS policy sets the IEEE802.1 dot1P
and LSP EXP bits.
• The Dot1P and the LSP EXP bits are set by the egress complex for all packets based on the sig-
naled FC. This includes ARP and IS-IS packets that, due to their nature, do not carry DSCP bits.
• The DSCP value in the egress IP header will be as configured in this command. The egress QoS
policy will not overwrite this value.
