Disconnect ECM and proceed to
pinpoint test 1:-
POlO8 MAP sensor circuit, short circuit to Disconnect MAP sensor and proceed
supply or open circuit to test 4:-
PIIOS MAP sensor pipe fault Check connectionlcondition of pipe
from MAP sensor to throttle body

- ECM pin A03 Faulty Rectify fault, proceed to test 5

2 Check cable for short circuit:
OK Proceed to test 3
- ECM pin A03 to ECM AO? Short circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
5
3 Check cable for continuity:
OK
Renew MAP sensor and proceed to test 5
- ECM pin A03 to sensor pin 3 Open circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
- ECM pin AO? to sensor pin 2

- ECM pin AO! to sensor pin !
4 Check cable for short circuit: OK Renew MAP sensor and proceed to test 5
- ECM pin A03 to ECM pin AOl
Short circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
5
5 Reconnect harness, clear fault code and run OK Action complete, quit test
engine
