Disconnect ECM and proceed to
pinpoint test 1:-

1 Check cable and terminal integrity: OK Proceed to test 2
- ECM pin A03
Faulty Rectify fault, proceed to test 7
- ECM pin A02
- ECM pin AOS
- ECM pin A04
2 Check resistance value: 4Qtol0Q
Disconnect actuator and proceed to test 3
- ECM pin A03 to ECM pin A02 Open circuit Proceed to test 4
- ECM pin AOS to ECM pin A04
Short circuit Disconnect actuator and proceed to test S

Check cable continuity:
OK Proceed to test 7
- ECM pin A03 to ground Short circuit Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
- ECM pin A02 to ground

- ECM pin AOS to ground
- ECM pin A04 to ground
4 Check cable continuity: OK Proceed to test 6
- ECM pin A03 to actuator pin A
- ECM pin A02 to actuator pin A'
Open circuit
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
- ECM pin AOS to actuator pin B

S Check cable for short circuit: OK Proceed to test 6
- ECM pin A03 to ECM pin A02
Short circuit
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
- ECM pin AOS to ECM pin A04

6 Check actuator resistance: 4Q to 10Q Proceed to test 7
- Sensor pin A to sensor pin A'
- Sensor pin B to sensor pin B'
renew actuator and proceed to test 7
7 Reconnect harness, clear fault code.
OK
Action complete, quit test
Run diagnostic tool function test to visually
verify operation of actuator
Fault still present Contact Triumph service
