Front ABS Pulser Ring

Removal

Before starting work, ensure the motorcycle is stabilised
and adequately supported. This will help prevent it from
falling and causing injury to the operator or damage to
the motorcycle
1.
Remove the front wheel (see page 15-10).
Damage to the wheel centre could cause misalignment
of the wheel when refitted. A dangerous riding
condition leading to an accident could result if this
warning is ignored.
2.
Support the wheel on blocks as illustrated below.

Remove a n d discard the five disc bolts and remove
the pulser ring.
1. Pulser ring
2. Disc bolt

Inspection

1.
Check the pulser ring for damage, missing or
cracked teeth or d istortion. Renew the pulser ring as
necessary.

Installation

1.
Locate the pu lser ring on to the wheel, fit new disc
bolts and tighten to
22
2.
Refit the front wheel (see page 15-1
3 .
Check, a n d if necessary, adjust t h e air g a p between
the front wheel speed sensor and the pulser ring
<see page 14-38).
4.
Check that the brakes operate correctly.
