Fuel System/Engine Management
Installation
I nstall a new sealing ring i n the fuel p u m p assembly,

with the seal lip facing u ppermost, and ensure that it
is correctly seated.

assembly into the fuel ta n k a pertu re.
Reconnect t h e fuel level sensor electrical connector

and hook the wiring behind the hook on the fuel
pump body.

Routing the fuel level sender wiring over the fuel level
sender a rm will prevent the sender arm from moving
th rough its ful l range of movement, causing incorrect
fuel gauge readi ngs.
Check that the fuel level sender wiring is not routed

Locate the fuel pump and filter assembly to the fuel

6. Ensure the locating peg on the fuel pump assembly
is located in the cut out on the mountin g p late and
the offset hole is positioned as shown below.

In the seq uence shown below, tighten the mounting

plate fixings to 9 Nm.

Refil l the fuel tan k with the fuel d rai ned earlier.

Reconnect the battery, positive <red> lead first.
10.
Start the engine and check careful ly for fuel leaks.

Recti as necessary.
