Pinpoint Tests
Test
1 Check cable and terminal integrity:
- ECM pin 828
- ECM pin 827
- Immobiliser pin 1
- Immobiliser pin 6
2 Check cable for short circuit:
- ECM pin 828 to ground
- ECM pin 827 to ground
3 Check cable continuity:
- ECM pin 828 to immobiliser pin 6
- ECM pin 827 to immobiliser pin 1
- Immobiliser pin 7 to ground
- Ignition switch pin 5 to immobiliser pin 2
- Ignition switch pin 5 to immobiliser pin 8
3 Reconnect harness, clear fault code and run
engine

Ensure immobiliser and TPMS control
mod ule connector is secure.
Ensure the ignition switch is turned to
the OFF position.
Proceed to pinpoint test 1 :
Action
Disconnect ECM and proceed to test 2
Rectify fault, proceed to test 4
Disconnect immobiliser, ignition switch and
proceed to test 3
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
4
Contact Triumph service
Locate and rectify wiring fault, proceed to test
4
Action complete, quit test
