Pinpoint Tests
Test
1 Check terminal and cable integrity:
- ECM p i n A01
- ECM pin A09
2 Check cable for short circuit:
- ECM p i n A01 t o earth
- ECM pin A09 to earth
3 Check cable continuity:
- ECM pin A09 to sensor pin 1
- ECM pin A01 to sensor pin 2
4 Check cable for short circuit:
- ECM p i n A01 t o ECM p i n A09
5 Check crank toothed wheel:
- Damage to teeth - magnetic debris
contamination
6 Reconnect harness, clear fault code and ru n O K
engine to verify fault cleared
