10. Position a new gasket to the cra n kcase dowels then
refit the left hand engine cover.
1 1. Refit the bottom hose bracket to the front two bolts.
Install the bolts, using new 3 5 mm bolts positioned
as noted during removal <the 25 m m bolts may be
re-used).
Tighten the 25 mm fixings to
35 mm fixings to
9 Nm.

1 2 . Refit the starter moto r <see page 17-18).
1 3 . Reconnect the battery, positive <red> lead first.
14. Refit the rider's seat <see page 16-13).

Alternator Rectifier

The rectifier does not conta i n a ny servicea ble parts and
must be replaced if faulty.
The alternator rectifier is located under the head stock,
behind the radiator. To access the rectifier, remove the
rad iator (see page 10-91 ).
