need to be connected to a conventional PCM-based digital circuit,
this board converts the IP packet signal into a PCM signal format and
connects to the PCM time division switch.
The GPZ-IPLE daughter board is required for IP telephones to
communicate with non-VoIP UNIVERGE SV9100 telephones, and
place or receive outside calls.
The VoIP daughter board provides the voice (RTP/RTCP)
processing function. The call control function is mounted on the
CPU.
The VOIPDB daughter board provides:
256 (GPZ-IPLE) channels
When installing a IPLE Daughter board, the system allocates the
maximum number of trunk ports for the blade being installed.
This daughter board is installed on the GCD-CP10.

Installation

To install a GPZ-IPLE on the GCD-CP10 :
Do not remove or install the GCD-CP10 with the
power on.

With the system power off, remove the GCD-CP10.
2.
Install the IPLA Daughter board onto the GCD-CP10 blade.

Insert the GCD-CP10 into slot 1 in the Controlling Chassis or.

Connect the IPLE Daughter board to the CD-RTB or to an
external switching hub using an ethernet cable.

Switch Settings

These daughter boards do not have any switches that need to be set
and do not require any hardware setting.

LED Indications

LED indications for the GPZ-IPLE Daughter Boards are indicated in
Table 4-12 IPLE Daughter Board LED CN1 Transmit/Receive Data
Indications. Each LED is listed with its associated function and LED
Figure 3-3 19" Controlling Chassis – Guides Slot 1 on page
for more details.
