11.4 Installation

Note!
Illustrations show installation on an
EasyCoder 501 XP printer. The same
principles apply to installation on an
EasyCoder 601 XP.

• Switch off the power and remove the power cord.
• Open the printer's front hatch.
• Hold the printer fi rmly and press the front hatch sideways to the
left as to disengage the hinges.
• Remove the hatch completely.

• If the printer is fi tted with a label taken sensor (LTS), it has to
be removed before the cutter can be fi tted, see Chapter 10.
• Fit the cutter unit to the vacant hinges. Make sure that the lock-
ing plate snaps into the groove of the right-hand hinge and that
the angled plate at the bottom of the cutter is inserted under the
printer's bottom plate.
• Connect the cable from the cutter unit to the female DIN con-
nector on the printer's front.
