8.5.2.1 Encoder source

With this setting you can define the encoder source.
Internal: If this function is activated, the signal is generated by the printer and
needs no external encoder device.
Additionally you have to enter the <Internal speed (intern Speed)> (3).
Attention! You should only work with an internal encoder source if
the product is always directed at the print head with a fix defined
and constant speed. For unsteady production speeds a distortion of
the print image can be caused.
You will find further information regarding this topic in the chapter
Internal speed!
External: If this function is activated the signal has to be generated by an
external encoder (e.g. incremental encoder). The encoder has to be connected to
the interface X1 of the LEIBINGER JET3.
Additionally you have to define the <Encoder/Direction> (4) and the
<Resolution> (5).
