U071 Adjusting the DP scanning timing
Description
Adjusts the DP original scanning timing.
Purpose
To be executed if there is a regular error betw een the leading or trailing edges of the original and the copy
image when the optional DP is used.
Caution
Before making this adjustment, ensure that the following adjustments have been made in maintenance mode.

Method
Press the start key. The screen for selecting an item is displayed.
Setting
1. Select the item to be set. The selected item is displayed in reverse.
2. Change the setting using the cursor up/down keys.
Display
LEAD EDGE ADJ DP leading edge registration –32 to +32
TRAIL EDGE ADJ DP trailing edge registration –32 to +32
Increasing the setting moves the copy image backward, and decreasing it moves the copy image forward.
3. Press the start key. The value is set.
Interrupt copy mode
While this maintenance item is being performed, copying from an original can be made in interrupt copy mode.
Adjustment
1. In interrupt copy mode, make a copy using the DP .
2. Check the copy image and adjust the registration as follows.
For copy example 1, increase the setting of LEAD EDGE ADJ .
For copy example 2, decrease the setting of LEAD EDGE ADJ .
Completion
Press the stop/clear key at the screen for selecting an item. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No . is
displayed.
