4. SERVICEMAN MODE
There are six serviceman modes, which have the following functions:
NAME
Toner End
Back Up
Mode
ID Sensor
Pattern Copy

To enter the "Serviceman Mode" correctly, the above mentioned
NOTE: *1
keys should be pressed whilst turning on the power.

After one copy, the "Toner End" turns on and continues to burn
for another five copies, at which time no more copies can be
made. (This is duplicating the "Toner End Mode".)

This procedure is made when a machine is being installed, as
there is no toner in the hopper. The toner end sensor detects
whether or not toner is required, if so, toner is supplied for
max. of 10 seconds,

FUNCTION
This is to confirm if the toner end
back up mode functions or not.*2
In this mode, a copy of the ID
pattern can be made.
The copier can be used without
the fusing warming up (factory
use).
In this
mode, the Vsg /
readings are made every scan,
instead of every 10 scans.
Toner is fed into the development
unit until the keys are released.
The main motor continues to
turn, energizing the toner supply
clutch until the toner hopper is
full of toner (max. 10 seconds) *3
