5-4 PAPER LIFT CLUTCH REPLACEMENT
I
Turn off the main switch and unplug the copier.
Remove the rear cover (2 screws), and the right cover (4 screws).
Remove the power pack (1 screw, 2 locking supports, 2 connectors, 3
terminals), and remove the sector gear (1 screw) [A].
Remove the paper feed clutch bracket (2 screws, 1 wire clamp).
In order not to damage the main PCB, pull out the lower part of the
bracket first.
5. Remove the pick-up roller arm (1 "E" ring), paper feed solenoid assembly
(2 screws, 1 connector), and the feed clutch cam (1 "E" ring).
6. Remove the paper lift gear [B] (1 "E" ring), and the paper lift clutch as-
sembly [C] (2 "E" rings, 1 connector, 1 spring).
NOTE: a) For easy removal, pull the assembly and push the drive shaft [D]
at the same time. Do not manually rotate the drive shaft [D]. This
action may deform the clutch spring.
