1-5 SCANNER DRIVE WIRE REPLACEMENT
1. Turn off the main switch and unplug the copier.
2. Remove the platen cover, and upper cover (6 screws).
3. Remove the rear cover (2 screws).
4. Open the front cover and remove the following covers:
a) lock plate cover (1 screw)
b) left cover
c) right cover
NOTE: Open the exit cover when removing the left cover, and open the
manual feed table when removing the right cover.
5. Remove the main PCB [A] (4 screws, 19 connectors, 1
3 wire clamps), and the optics cooling fan assembly [B]
connectors, 1 wire clamp).
6. Loosen the wire clamp screw [C], unhook the tension
remove the scanner drive wire [E].
