the ribbon bar code
sensor.
Yes The ribbon cartridge
is missing or installed
improperly.
No The hardware cannot
communicate properly
with the cartridge.

Fault Correction Procedure
Solution
1. Power down the
printer. Remove the
ribbon and wipe the
two lenses of the
ribbon bar code sensor
with a lint-free cloth or
cotton swab.
2. Install the ribbon and
power on the printer. If
the message appears
again, replace the
ribbon.
3. Power on the printer. If
the message appears
again, InfoPrint service
representative.
1. Make sure a ribbon
cartridge is installed in
the printer.
2. Make sure the ribbon
cartridge is seated
properly.
3. Remove and replace
the cartridge if
necessary.
4. Contact your InfoPrint
service representative.
