3 Change the Number of cores per socket so that the Total number of cores reflects the capacity
needed for the licenses purchased. Refer to the table below for examples. For systems not listed,
some experimentation might be needed. However, regardless of the number of licenses purchased
and the number of CPU cores present, at least 2 cores must remain unassigned. For example, if the
physical machine contains 2 Intel E5-2690 CPUs and 20 licenses are purchased, the Number of
cores per socket should be 30.
