RealPresence Collaboration Server 800s/Virtual Edition Getting Started Guide
To send text messages to all participants in a conference using Message Overlay:
1 In the Conferences List pane, double-click the conference entry or right-click the conference entry
and then click Conference Properties. The Conference Properties – General dialog box is
displayed.
2 Click the Message Overlay tab.
3 Click the Enable check box.
4 Modify the fields as set out in the Polycom® RealPresence Collaboration Server 800s/Virtual Edition

5 Click the OK button.
To cancel the Message Overlay display:
1 Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 in the
(AVC-based
Conferences).
2 Clear the Enable check box.
3 Click OK.

Participant Level Operations

Various operations can be performed during an ongoing conference, affecting only the selected participants
in the conference. These operations enable you to modify and control the connections and statuses of
participants in ongoing conferences, as described in the following table.

Description
Define a new participant.
SVC dial-in participants can be added to SVC Only and Mixed CP and SVC
conferences. SVC dial-out participants cannot be added to any conference.
Open the Address Book to select the participant for the conference.
SVC dial-in participants can be added to SVC Only and Mixed CP and SVC
conferences. SVC dial-out participants cannot be added to any conference.

Connect a disconnected defined dial-out participant to the conference.
Disconnect the participant from the conference.
Delete the selected participants from the conference.
Mute the audio transmission from the participant to the conference.
The Audio Muted indicator appears in the Participants List and the Unmute
Audio button (
