Preferences Dialog

Choose Utilities → Preference Setup... to access the main Preferences
dialog. The following settings are made from this dialog:
Audible Feedback - To have audible confirmation each time you touch a
screen or front panel control, check the Enable box in the Audible
Feedback section of the dialog. With Audible Feedback enabled, the
oscilloscope beeps each time you touch the screen or a front panel
control.
Automatic Calibration - To have your instrument automatically re-
calibrate itself whenever there is a significant change in ambient
temperature, check the Enable box in the Automatic Calibration section
of the dialog.
NOTE: If you do not enable this option, the oscilloscope re-calibrates
only at startup and whenever you make a change to certain operating
conditions.
Performance - If this option is available on your oscilloscope, you can
set up the oscilloscope to optimize for either Analysis (acquisition and
calculation speed) or Display (update rate/speed). For example, if you
value persistence or averaging, you might choose Analysis to give higher
priority to waveform acquisition at the expense of display update rate .
Choices are presented as a spectrum, with Analysis and Display at the
extremes.
