Overview
This chapter provides information to assist you in configuring a storage system that meets
your application needs using the Disk Array FC60. In designing the storage system, two
things must be considered: the configuration of the disk array and how the array will fit
into the system (topology). Factors to be considered when designing an array for a specific
application include high availability requirements, performance, storage capacity, and
future expandability. This chapter discusses configuration features of the Disk Array FC60
as it relates to these requirements. In addition it provides information on system topologies
following the array configuration.
Because you have probably already determined your configuration, and
Note
received the disk array and system equipment, you may not require the
information presented in this chapter. It may, however, help you verify your
configuration choices.
