If using an HP rack, fasten the back of the disk enclosure to the rails using the rear
hold-down clamps from the rail kit.
a. If you are installing the disk enclosure in an HP legacy rack, set the clamp (A in
Figure
50) on top of the rail (B) so that the tabs point up and the screw holes are on
the slotted side of the rail. Skip to step c.
b. If you are installing the disk enclosure in an HP Rack System/E, set the clamp (D in
Figure
48)
c. Push the clamp tight against the back of the disk enclosure. The raised tab of the
clamp should overlap the bottom edge of the disk enclosure chassis.
d. Insert and tighten two M5 16mm screws through each clamp and rail.

Reinstall power supplies removed in Step 1.
9.
Install half-EIA unit rack filler panel(s) as needed. A half-EIA unit gap exists between
products in legacy HP racks and when an odd number of disk enclosures are installed
in the Rack System/E.
