CRANKSHAFT /PISTON/CYLINDER
Cross reference the main journal and bearing sup­
port codes to determine the replacement bearing
color code.

NOTICE
After selecting new bearings, recheck the clearance
with a plastigauge. Incorrect clearance can cause
severe engine damage.
BEARING INSTALLATION
Clean the bearing outer surfaces end crankcase
bearing supports.
Apply molybdenum oil solution to the main journal
bearing sliding surfaces on the upper crankcase.
Install the main journal bearing inserts onto the
crankcase bearing supports, aligning each tabs with
each grooves.
