FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
DTC 29-1 (IACV)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the IACV 4P (Black) connector
and ECM 33P connectors, then recheck the OTC.
1. Recheck OTC
Clear the ECM self-diagnosis memory data (page
5-14).
Start the engine and check the IACV with the
HOS pocket tester.
Is the DTC 29-1 indicated7
YES
NO
2. IACV Short Circuit Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the IACV 4P (Black) connector.
Check for continuities between the IACV 4P
(Black) connector and ground.
CONNECTION: Black/yellow - Ground
Are there continuities7
YES
NO

- GO TO STEP 2.
- Intermittent failure
Black/red - Ground
Black/blue - Ground
Black/orange - Ground
- • Short circuit in Black/yellow or Black/
orange wlre
• Short circuit in Black/red or Black/
blue wire
- GO TO STEP 3.
