2. MAP Sensor Output Voltage Inspection
Connect the ECM test harness to ECM connec
tors (page 5-14).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch
Measure the voltage at the test harness termi
nals.
The MAP sensor voltage should be changed
after engine started.
CONNECTION: 89 (+)
Is the voltage within 2. 7
YES
NO
3. MAP Sensor Output Voltage Inspection At Idle
Start the engine.
Measure the voltage at the test harness termi
nals.
CONNECTION: 89 (+) -A 18 (-)
STANDARD:
Is the voltage less than 2.7 V?
YES
NO
MIL 7 BLINKS (ECT SENSOR)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the ECT sensor 3P (Black) con
nector and ECM 33P connectors, then recheck
the MIL blinking.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Connect the test harness to ECM 33P connectors
(page 5-14).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch
Measure the voltage at the test harness termi
nals.
CONNECTION: 813 (+) -A 18 (-)
STANDARD:
Is the voltage within 2. 7 - 3. 1 V?
