Terminal modules and network connection
The configuration of the ET 200iSP distributed I/O device starts with passive terminal modules
to which you plug the power supply and the electronic modules.
The connection to the network of the higher-level station (e.g. CPU with IO controller or DP
master) depends on the interface module of the ET 200iSP. In general, a converter is required in
the network connection for the connection to the higher-level station (media converter RJ45/
FOC or DP/DP coupler). The network cables are connected using a connection plug.
Installation of the ET 200iSP in hazardous areas
• When configured as a PROFINET IO device, the ET 200iSP is connected to PROFINET IO via
• When configured as a PROFIBUS DP device, the ET 200iSP is connected to the intrinsically
