UL markings
The ACH550 is suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering
not more than 65,000 RMS symmetrical amperes, 480 V
maximum. The ACH550 has an electronic motor protection
feature that complies with the requirements of UL 508C. When
this feature is selected and properly adjusted, additional
overload protection is not required unless more than one motor
is connected to the drive or unless additional protection is
required by applicable safety regulations. See parameters 3005

The drives are to be used in a controlled environment. See
section "Ambient conditions" 180 for specific limits.
EMC instructions (Europe, Australia and New Zealand)
This section describes conformance with EMC requirements (in
Europe, Australia and New Zealand).
CE marking
A CE mark is attached to the ACH550 drive to verify that the
drive follows the provisions of the European Low Voltage and
EMC Directives (Directive 73/23/EEC as amended by 93/68/
EEC and Directive 89/336/EEC, as amended by 93/68/EEC).
The EMC Directive defines the requirements for immunity and
emissions of electrical equipment used in the European
Economic Area. The EMC product standard EN 61800-3 covers
the requirements stated for drives, such as the ACH550.
ACH550 drives comply with the requirements stated in EN
61800-3 for Second Environment and First Environment,
restricted distribution.
Product standard EN 61800-3 (Adjustable speed electrical
power drive systems - Part 3:EMC product standard including
specific test methods) defines First Environment as
environment that includes domestic premises. It also includes
establishments directly connected without intermediate
transformers to a low voltage power supply network which
supplies buildings used for domestic purposes.
Second Environment includes establishments other than those
directly connected to a low voltage power supply network which
supplies buildings used for domestic purposes.
