NOTICE
Never use defective communication cables. If you suspect that a
cable is defective, replace the cable.
To ensure trouble-free operation, use only the cables provided by
Thermo Fisher Scientific for connecting the device.
1. Place the device in the system as required by the system
configuration. For details, refer to
2. Connect the required interface cables to the device. For information
about how to connect the device to other modules in the Vanquish
system or to the chromatography data system computer, refer to
the Vanquish System Operating Manual.
3. Verify that the power switch on the device is set to OFF.
4. Connect the power cord to the power-inlet connector on the device.
NOTICE
Before connecting the device to the power line, be sure that no
condensation is present in the device. Condensation in the device can
damage the electronics. If you suspect that condensation is present,
allow the device to warm up to room temperature. This may take several
hours. Wait until the condensation is completely gone before
proceeding.
5. Connect the free end of the power cord to an appropriate power
source.
