72.3.4 Add/Edit VRRP Parameters

After you set up an IP interface, view and configure the VRRP parameters in the VRRP Setup screen.
Click Add/Edit, or select an entry and click Add/Edit in the lower section in the NETWORKING > VRRP >
VRRP Setup screen to display this screen.

DESCRIPTION
Enable the switch button to enable this VRRP entry.
Enter a descriptive name (up to 32 printable ASCII characters except [ ? ], [ | ], [ ' ], [ " ] or
[ , ]) for identification purposes.
Select an IP domain to which this VRRP entry applies.
Select a virtual router number (1 to 7) for which this VRRP entry is created.
You can configure up to seven virtual routers for one network.
Specify the number of seconds between Hello message transmissions. The default is 1.
Select this option to activate preempt mode.
Enter a number (between 1 and 254) to set the priority level. The bigger the number, the
higher the priority.
This field is 100 by default.
Enter the IP address of the uplink gateway in dotted decimal notation.
The Switch checks the link to the uplink gateway.
Select this option to have the Switch respond to a ping that is sent to the virtual IP address.
Enter the IP address of the primary virtual router in dotted decimal notation.
This field is optional. Enter the IP address of a secondary virtual router in dotted decimal
notation. This field is ignored when you enter 0.0.0.0.
