6.15. CDP SETUP TAB

The CDP Setup menu, as illustrated in Figure 6-17, enables the user to configure the encoding of Caption
Distribution Packets (CDPs) in the VANC area of HD/3G video.

6.15.1. CDP Setup Entry

6.15.1.1. Include Service Info Section
This parameter allows the user to select whether to include this optional data section in the CDPs
encoded by the 7812UDXD. The default settings for these controls are disabled.

6.15.2. CDP Service Control

6.15.2.1. Service Info Setup
The Service Info Setup allows the user to configure the data that will be encoded in the Service Info
section of the CDP. The optional Service Info section describes the captions that are encoded in the
video. Receivers may use the service information generated by the 7812UDXD for a variety of different
functions.
