IV and CV Device Characterization

Oscillations in the IV Plot

If an IV test indicates oscillations (see Figure 28 below), you may need to set a
Gate Resistor value in the B1506A EasyEXPERT and PD1000A Control Software.

Note this is the same device and test settings as shown in Figure 27 above but
with the Gate Resistor set to 0 .
As mentioned above, you must change the Gate Resistor value in two places: in
the PD1000A Control Software for the test parameter, and in the B1506A
EasyEXPERT. Make sure that you use the same value in both places.
To change the Gate Resistor value:
1 Go to the B1506A EasyEXPERT software.
2 Click Tools > System > Configuration.
3 Select the UHC Expander / Fixture tab.
