IV and CV Device Characterization
Running the IV and CV Tests
Allow the chamber to cool before opening. Do not touch the Hot
Plate until it has cooled.
IV characterization tests can be done over a wide temperature
range in the B1506A test chamber (room temperature to +250 ° C).
These tests can take several hours as the temperature must
stabilize within the test chamber.
The Hot Plate can reach temperatures in excess of +255 ° C. The
hot plate surface is cooled slowly by the local environment. It is
not automatically cooled after a test completes. Always verify that
the Hot Plate surface is at room temperature before touching or
handling. A heat shield is located approximately 6.35 mm below
the lower surface of the Hot Plate. Even with the heat shield, the
bottom of the Hot Plate can be unsafe to touch.
Do not apply voltage/current over the maximum limit of the
socket module or adapter. Use a socket module or adapter rated
for the temperature range of your test.
