    The host controller should be dedicated solely to running the PD1000A and device modeling software. It should have Internet access to download Keysight IO Libraries Suite and all software and license files. Keysight IO Libraries Suite is the largest software component in the software installation. Therefore, the host controller requirements in the following are based on optimizing the installation and performance of the IO Libraries Suite.

    Startup Guide IV and CV Device Characterization The Keysight B1506A or B1505A Power Device Analyzer for Circuit Design is the heart of the IV and CV device characterization tests. It can evaluate all relevant device parameters under a wide range of operating conditions, including IV parameters such as breakdown voltage and on-resistance, as well as three terminal FET capacitances, gate charge and power loss.

    The B1506A or B1505A test chamber can be equipped with a Thermal Platform (Hot Plate) from InTEST (model HP289-PM) for controlling DUT temperature. The Thermal Platform is not available from Keysight. The platform consists of a temperature controller and a hot plate that is installed inside the B1506A Test Chamber.
  • Page 35 Chamber. The plate sits on the Test Chamber’s Silicone Plate minimizing cable length and risk of oscillation. The B1505A requires the Keysight N1265A text fixture to work with the InTEST platform.
