Power Cables

The EC-1200 supports two AC power cables, both of which are
shipped with each cabinet. Depending upon country destination the
power cords will support either U.S. standards or any of a number of
international standards.
It is imperative that both power cords be used and attached to a
properly functioning power source. It is best to attach each power
cord to a different circuit so that if one power feed fails the other will
still supply current to the cabinet and the installed switches.
Power cords are routed to the bottom-front of the EC-1200, one to the
left and one to the right. This is different from the previous
generation EC-1100 cabinet, in which the main power cords entered
at the rear of the cabinet. When planning for power and/or data
center tile cut-outs, allow for ample space for both power cords and
fiber cables entering/exiting at the bottom front of the EC-1200
cabinet.
Refer to Power Requirements on page F-2 for power connector
specifications.
