QuikSync will not back up certain Windows NT configurations that
need to be reconfigured on a newly restored Connectrix service
processor, including the following:
Windows NT user names and passwords
TCP/IP network configuration (IP address, gateway address,
DNS names)
The Connectrix service processor provides for dual Ethernet support
via two Ethernet adapter cards. The purpose of dual Ethernet
adapters is to isolate Connectrix devices from the data center
network, and to provide a single access point for managing multiple
directors in a Connectrix complex. This is accomplished by
dedicating one Ethernet connection to a private Connectrix network,
and the other connection to the data network.

information.
The Java-based Connectrix Manager software facilitates
management, configuration, and monitoring functions for
components of the EC-1200 cabinet(s). The application resides on the
Connectrix service processor, and
downloaded to remote user workstations.
Connectrix Manager software offers the following features:
Network and product configuration management
Event and audit logging, plus initiation of user notification and
call-home
Remote user workstation support for:
• Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000,
WIndows XP
• Solaris
• HP-UX
• AIX
• Linux
