Standby power supplies (SPSs)

Viewing from the bottom to the top, the Block and File (Unified) VNX7500 platform
includes several components. The following sections discuss each component in an
illustration and table. The illustration will show or point out the location of the part
number label on the component. The table will list the part number, describe the
component or part, and tell you if it is a FRU or CRU or both.

Two types of SPSs are supported in the VNX7500 platform. The 1U and 2U SPS. Each SPS
is used in a different configuration. The 1U SPS is primarily used in a VNX7500 platform
with a 2U or 3U DAE. The 2U SPS is used in a VNX7500 platform when the 4U DAE is used
as a Vault drive.
