Connectrix Manager Data Directory
Backup of all critical Connectrix Manager data is provided by Iomega
QuikSync, which is installed on the Connectrix service processor.
QuikSync automatically mirrors the contents of the Connectrix
Manager data directory and saves the contents to the Zip drive in the
EC-1200.
QuikSync starts automatically after Windows NT login on the service
processor, and automatically mirrors any change to the Connectrix
Manager data directory that were made while the user was logged
out.
Connectrix Services automatically maintain a mirror image of the Connectrix
Manager data on the D:\ drive of the service processor. The QuikSync
application copies this duplicate set to the Zip drive. If you wish to have the
automatic copy to the Zip drive occur all the time, you must remain logged in
to Windows NT. The best way to accomplish this is to lock the workstation
once you have completed any work on the service processor, by pressing
and selecting the Lock Workstation button.
CTRL-ALT-DEL
You can also access QuikSync through the Windows Start menu for manual
backup.
The Connectrix Manager data directory contains all Connectrix
Manager data, so it can be copied back to a newly restored
Connectrix service processor to fully recover the original Connectrix
Manager operating environment.
Data contained in the directory includes:
All Connectrix Manager configuration data (such as product
definitions, user names, passwords, user rights, and session
options)
All log files (Connectrix Manager log files and individual product
manager log files)
Zoning library (all zone sets and zone definitions)
