6.2 Care
CAUTION
Risk of loss of function due to improper care. The 3WR95 Knee Joint must be cleaned with
clean fresh water following contact with saltwater, water containing chlorine/soap, or contact
with abrasive substances (e.g. sand). Do not use lipophilic cleaning agents,
high pressure washers, or boiling hot water. The knee joint may not be cleaned in a dishwasher
or washing machine. It must also be dried carefully immediately after every use.
Contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand) can lead to premature wear.
7 Maintenance/Repair
7.1 Maintenance

This component was tested for three million load cycles in accordance with ISO 10328. De-
pending on the amputee's activity level, this corresponds to a service life of three to five years.
We always recommend regular annual safety inspections.
The safety inspections must be performed by a prosthetist.
Do not disassemble the joint!
Ottobock recommends adjusting the knee joint to the patient's requirements again after the
patient has taken some time to get used to the prosthesis. Special attention should be paid to
movement resistance and abnormal noises.
Full flexion and extension must be ensured.
Replace the stop every time the prosthesis is serviced.
If you have problems, please send the joint in.
7.2 Repair
CAUTION
Disassembly on your own initiative. If the 3WR95 is disassembled on your own initiative, this
may lead to defects and resulting malfunction of the 3WR95 Knee Joint, including loss of func-
tion due to structural failure. This can cause the patient to fall.
Do not disassemble the 3WR95 Knee Joint on your own initiative! Please send the joint to Ot-
tobock Service in case of problems.
8 Disposal
8.1 Disposal Information
INFORMATION
This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste in all jurisdictions.
Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of your country may have a
detrimental impact on health and the environment. Please observe the information
provided by the responsible authorities in your country regarding return and collec-
tion processes.
