CAUTION
Risk of falls due to improper operation. The amputee must have the necessary muscular and
cognitive abilities to control a freely moving knee joint without stance phase control. If he or she
is not able to do so (this usually applies to patients with mobility grades 1 and 2), then the knee
joint must always be locked in order to walk.
2.3 Conditions of use
The Aqua Knee is a knee joint component intended for use in waterproof walking devices and can
be used to walk and stand in wet areas. The waterproof walking device is not intended to replace
the initial prosthesis and should only be used in wet areas. It may also not be used for extreme
activities such as extreme sports (water skiing, kite surfing, etc.).
CAUTION
Overheating of the hydraulic unit. A continuous high level of activity can cause the hydraulic
unit to overheat. Please note that burns may result from contact with overheated components.
2.4 Required qualification
2.4.1 Prosthetist qualifications
Fitting of the 3WR95 Knee Joint may only be performed by prosthetists.
2.4.2 Qualification of the therapist or nursing staff
